We are immensely proud Of Deepa Malik, the first Indian woman to bring home a silver in short put. Her 4.61m throw from six attempts fetched her the coveted medal. Deepa is a paraplegic, who was diagnosed with spinal tumour, rendering her paralysed from waist down. The wife of an army officer, the braveheart is a mother of two and doesn't take no for an answer. We salute her spirit. Go, naaris! PC: Rio Olympics
